The Pennington Montessori School application process is designed to give parents a full understanding of the school and what it has to offer, as well as answer any questions along the way.

Admissions Process

Pennington Montessori operates on a school year calendar (September – June). Enrollment begins the January before when our current students and siblings of current students will re-enroll (choose their upcoming school year schedules and submit their deposits). We will then move on to process submitted applications to fill any spaces leftover. We encourage all new families to have their applications submitted by the January prior to the new school year as we typically do develop waitlists each year.

 

STEP ONE: Take a tour

  • please reach out to us at admissionsinfo@penningtonmontessori to inquire about tour availabilities. Please note that tours may be suspended until a later date if the program you are requesting is full.

STEP Two: Submit an application

  • Applications can be completed and submitted online here.  Please note there is a non-refundable $50 application fee per child.

Once your application has been received and we determine to have space for your requested program, we will contact you to schedule your child’s interview. 

STEP Three: Interview

  • The in-person interview process enables us to get to know your child, assess their readiness for school and allow them to experience a classroom firsthand. We carefully consider many factors in determining the appropriate placement of your child (such as age, gender, personality, program attending, and availability of your selected program), as we strive to create balanced classrooms that ensure an optimal multiage environment. Please note that for this reason, the teacher you and your child meet with may not be their teacher when they begin school.

STEP four: Receive notification

  • You can expect notification of your child’s admission status within one week of their interview.

STEP five: Deposit & New Family Enrollment Fee

  • Once you have received notice that your child has been admitted for the upcoming school year, your deposit ($1000) and New Family Enrollment fee ($350) will need to be remitted in order for us to hold your child’s space in the new school year. The Deposit is nonrefundable and non-transferrable but will be applied to your overall tuition total. The New Family Enrollment Fee is a one-time, additional fee, to all new families to the school.
